CSE

Covered Swap Entity. A CSE, as defined in the Prudential Regulator’s proposed margin rules for uncleared swaps, means a swap dealer, major swap participant, security-based swap dealer, or a major security-based swap participant that is regulated by one of the Prudential Regulators. As defined in the CFTC’s proposed margin rules for uncleared swaps, a CSE is a swap dealer or major swap participant for which there is no Prudential Regulator.
