EONIA

EONIA refers to the Euro Overnight Index Average, which is a daily interest reference rate that is published by the European Money Markets Institute (EMMI), the benchmark administrator, for EURIBOR and EONIA. The underlying interest rate for EONIA is the rate at which banks of sound financial standing in the European Union and the European Free Trade Area countries lend funds in the interbank money market in euro denomination. EONIA is due to cease to be published on January 3, 2022, because it will not comply with European Benchmark Regulation (BMR), and a transition is expected to ESTR.
