SFT Regulation

An EU regulation on the transparency of securities financing transactions which came into force in 2016. It provides for details of all SFTs to be reported to trade repositories, similar to the reporting requirements for OTC derivatives under EMIR, and imposes additional disclosure requirements on managers of UCITS and AIFs. It also imposes requirements in relation to the rehypothecation of securities.
