Simple, transparent, and standardized securitizations. Under a draft EU Commission regulation published on September 30, 2015, securitizations meeting specified criteria will be entitled to certain benefits including reduced capital weightings. The draft Regulation forms part of the CMU project. It continues to be debated as part of the EU legislative process and the timing the legislation coming into force and effect is uncertain.
